Why do ppl keep saying rick sanchez is white?

he's obviously hispanic, but why are ppl claiming hes white. see thats funny ppl make hispanics "white" when they feel its convenient. as a hispanic i dont consider nyself white so why should he when hes CUBAN therefore hispanic?...
